Travel through the Ages to a set theme to study the Greats and their mathematical findings.  Learn about Ancient Cultures, beliefs and how the world was seen.  Experience the connections made by the mathematical greats of the time. By understanding how and why math concepts are used, the learner gets a better grasp of the math concept itself as they have practical applications.  By learning these foundations (and some really big concepts) a deeper, clearer understanding of mathematics can be had.  Plus it turns the subject of Math into a true interesting FUN exploration!  Hands on activities, games, experiments, projects, enactments and discussions.  Weekly assignments and readings and for extended learning and self made connections.  Although Math is the focus, history, geography, language arts, creative arts, science and governance are all a BIG part of this online class.

Explore how and why counting began and how each Ancient civilization did it so differently; Ancient Africa, Americas, Asia, Greece and more. Learn an understanding of base numbers, group counting and how they worked with their numbers.
