Inspirative Learning's Online LIVE Classes are an open ended exploration through a particular theme. The classes are designed to inspire critical thought, independent ideas and supportive peer dynamics. The class itself is intended to be the inspiration that ignites the learner to discover and explore the topic even deeper. Weekly Lock in learning extensions challenge the Learner to their own personal best. These open ended weekly extensions give time and space to the learner to make their own connections and express their learning and discoveries in their own unique way. Each week the Learner has the opportunity to share their discoveries with their class peers and hear and see their peers discoveries too! This engaging group dynamic brings a self-accountability, a confidence and a personal drive. You can participate in an Online LIVE Class with an internet connection from your computer/ ipad/ iphone/ android device. Online LIVE Classes
Join an Inspirative Learning Instructor Live online from the comfort of your home (or anywhere you get an internet connection). These classes are engaging, fun and inspiring. The outlines are left open ended to allow for the diversities of the individual learners for each class. Every learner has their own unique way of learning and expressing themselves, their own skill sets and interests. Each class takes a shape of it's own within the parameters of the topic and outlines. Each learner is respected for where they are in their own learning journey and never judged or compared. Inspirative Learning is a secular learning experience; being attached to no particular religious viewpoint or lack thereof.
The role of the Inspirative Learning Instructor is more that of a guide or facilitator. They share their interest of a topic, exposing the learner to possible new material. They then challenge the learner to take on their own learning to follow their own interests in that topic and to share their discoveries with their peers. The class is meant to INSPIRE the learner, IGNITE their interest and have them EXPLORE the topic and embark on their own learning adventure. The online class becomes a medium of exploration. A place to share their own learnings, hear and see different perspectives, to become inspired, to broaden their range of interest, play with new ideas and to be encouraged to reach for their own personal best.
Each online class has a maximum number of participants to allow for a meaningful learning experience with peers. The class is intended for LIVE use but will be recorded so that you can review and experience again. Each online class does have assignments. These assignments known as 'Lock in Learning Extensions', are VERY open ended and are designed to engage and deepen the learner's own connections and experience with the topic. It is requested that the learner share their assignment at the beginning of the following class. This is not intended for marking or grading in any way. It is a way for the student to lock in their learning and express their experience. Each assignment has many open ended suggestions
Lock in Learning Extension Example:
Research an invention from Ancient China and express your findings. Share with fellow classmates next class. Some ideas for expressing your findings are (but not limited to... feel free to be creative or express in your own way!):
-draw a picture of the invention
-make a timeline of then and now and how the invention changed to what we know it as today.
-describe or discuss what Life would be like without that particular invention.
-build a model of the invention.
-draw the plans for the invention.
-write a story of how the invention was made.
-comic, skit, video, mockumentary, pictures, comparisons and more!
-explain how it came to be invented, by who, for what.

'Varying amounts of learning or memory retention happens when we read books, memorize and test. As we age, most of us retain only bits and pieces of those childhood readings. What we remember most throughout our life is experiences. This is what Szara's classes offer! Relative and memorable experiences, tied in with flexible but meaningful projects.'
~Michelle 'Szara's classes have my kids eager each week to attend ! We've been participating for 2 years now and have studied: Samurai's, Persia, First Nations, Ancient India & China. Each new semester has my kids excited to gather and learn. Szara's got a great way of presenting interesting information at a level that my kids can grasp onto. I highly recommend exploring these courses. They encompass history, geography, social & critical thinking, fun games, great activities, discussions, video clips & simulations. Fabulous !!'
~Jacqui 'My son took Szara's Math Through The Ages course last Fall. We both had a great experience working with Szara. For me, I felt the course was well-designed so students travelled through time in the history of mathematical thought. Each class focused on a specific period in time and corresponding mathematical concept, as well as the persons involved and culture of that time. For my son, he came away from each class full of stories about the different people he studied, the quirky facts about them that helped solidify what he'd learned. Through the projects he was assigned he connected with the mathematical concepts and found ways to apply them in the world around him. We both enjoyed watching the online videos together, and they stimulated many discussions on both mathematics as well as bigger cultural and historical ideas.'
~Caelen 'My son has participated in these classes for the last two years and has always looked forward eagerly to Thursday mornings. He has felt very supported by his peers and his style of learning has been respected. Each student is able to present the assignments in ways that are effective for them. His learning on the subjects has been broad and full of interest. I heartily recommend these classes.'
