Warriors Through the Ages

A Six week adventure into the lives and times of Ancient Warriors.  Step back in time and learn the teachings of the Warriors.  Step into their life and training. Learn about their Ancient culture and civilization, their beliefs, philosophies and ideas of how their world worked.  Learn about their weaponry and armour, their technologies and battle tactics. Discover the Great (and not so Great) leaders of their time. Learn how they rose to their greatness and how they fell. Hands on learning through activities, enactments, experiments, games, projects and discussions.  Weekly assignments, readings and videos for extended learning. We will play with all kinds of subject matter; history, geography, language arts, creative arts, science and mathematics; as we explore the themed unit study class on Ancient Warriors. *Many ideologies and religious philosophies will be explored and discussed as it plays a large role in the warrior belief.

Warriors Through the Ages - Kshatriya: Ancient India
 (6 weeks)
Venture Back in Time to the Ancient Lands of India to learn more about this revered and skilled warrior class. We will learn much about the culture and times of Ancient India as we explore the ideas and ways of the Kshastriya. 
Weekly Themes include: India Now and Then, the Vedic Period, Hinduism and the Caste System, Diwali, Warriors and Expansion, Ashoka and the final week class for presentations.
